• T Levels For Employers

Play your part in shaping the workforce of the future! Come and be part of South Devon College’s exciting T Level Pilot Scheme and see how industry placements could benefit your business!

T Levels will soon become part of the national educational landscape, and as a College with a vision, we want to be 100% ready when the first phase is introduced. This is why we are offering the opportunity for reputable businesses to be among the first to collaborate with us in our initial trial.

Industries with a skills shortage can now benefit from this pilot programme and take advantage of a fully-supported route which could potentially lead into successful apprenticeships and future employment.

You can take part in a number of ways – our Industry Placement Co-ordinator Kerry Pilato will fully support you and your students through the whole process, and will discuss and resolve any issues relating to the industry placement with regular check-ins.

What are the differences?

Work Experience  Industry Placements
Takes place over a time span of 1-2 weeks A longer, structured period of employment flexible to your needs, typically up to 3 months in duration
Focuses on general employability skills Allows students to develop practical vocational skills relevant to their profession
Acts as a taster of the workplace Can lead into successful apprenticeships for future employment
