Here at South Devon College, we are passionate about getting you to where you want to be in life! Our expert guidance team can help you find a course suitable to reach your ambitions. And don’t forget, you can apply for more than one course! There are no limits!

Take a look at our courses and see what areas of study interest you most. You can make an application here.
2. Welcome Meeting
After your application, you will have the chance to meet with a course tutor from your chosen subject to discuss the course in more detail. This is a good chance to ask any questions you may have, and make sure the course is right for you.
3. Taster Week
This is your opportunity to see what studying at South Devon College is all about. It’s another taster day that helps you get to grips with your studies and prepare you for when you start in September.
4. Enrolment
Your enrolment in September gives you an official place on your course, so you can get started and make your future a reality!
FAQs
How do I apply for a course? | Please apply through our website, you will need to click onto the course you are interested in and click ‘Apply Now’. If you do not have an account with us, you will need to register. |
How will I hear about my application? | Once we have received your application, we will be in contact to provide advice on next steps to ensure you are informed throughout. If you are under 19, your next step will be to book a Welcome Session. If you are an adult applicant, you may be able to enrol immediately or you will be contacted for an interview, depending on the course. |
Is there a deadline for applying? | We encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible to give you the chance to make the most informed decision about your future. Once you have applied, we can keep you up to date with all important information ready for you to start in September and you are always able to withdraw your application later. |
I’m unsure what to apply for? | Don’t worry if you are unsure or would like to explore applications for multiple courses. You can apply for two or more courses and make your decision later after attending a Welcome Session. You can also make an appointment with our qualified Careers Advice & Guidance Team, via [email protected], to discuss your future career goals and aspirations. |
Will there be any events this year? | We will be holding Open Events throughout the year, further information about these events can be found on our website. My Night and Taster Week will also be available for under 19 college learners. My Night is a chance for new learners joining in September to meet their peers and have fun with games, music, a chocolate fountain and more! Taster Week is a great opportunity for learners to experience their first and second choice courses for half a day each to help make the right choice about what they would like to learn. |
Can I receive funding advice? | Our Helpzone team are available to provide advice on all funding options including our fantastic bursary offer. We plan to release our bursary application form during May 2022, this will be sent to all applicants via email. For further information please contact us on 08000 380 123 or [email protected]. |
How will I get to College? | We are continuing to work closely with Stagecoach on our exclusive Bus Pass offer and transport routes to the College for September 2022. We plan to release our transport application form during May, we will send this to all applicants. |
How will I enrol? | Under 19 learners will be invited into the college at the end of the summer holidays to enrol. Enrolment will take place after GCSE results day so that we can ensure that you are on the most appropriate level course for your achievements. Once you are enrolled, you will be officially ready to start in September! Adult learners will be able to enrol through our website once they have received an offer for their chosen course, communication regarding this will be sent via email. |
When will I receive my timetable? | Your timetable will be available electronically. Once you have enrolled, you will be able to access your timetable through our SDConnect app on the following day. |
I’ve applied to study a degree-level course. Can I still apply for my HE loan and maintenance grant? | Yes. You can apply/continue your application at www.gov.uk/student-finance . |
