The Clean Energy Centre at South Devon College is a cutting-edge facility dedicated to training the next generation of clean energy professionals.
Developed with £1.5 million in funding from Devon County Council and Torbay Council’s Devolution Deal, the centre houses state-of-the-art equipment that supports learning in the latest green technologies. Facilities include specialist workshops for plumbing and electrical training, as well as the ACS Research Centre, providing hands-on experience with modern systems such as air and ground source heat pumps, solar thermal panels, and electric vehicle (EV) charging units.
Designed as a regional hub of excellence, the centre offers high-quality training for both new learners and those already in industry, supporting businesses across the South West. With its focus on sustainable energy and innovation, the Clean Energy Centre plays a vital role in upskilling the local workforce and driving forward the clean energy agenda through practical, industry-led education.
