Business Development Lead
I joined South Devon College in 2024 as a Business Development Lead within the Business Solutions Team, bringing with me a varied professional background across hospitality, business, education and training.
Before moving into education, I qualified as a chef and ran my own business, experiences that gave me a strong understanding of industry, customer relationships and the importance of practical, people-focused solutions. I also hold an Honours degree in Business Administration and Management, alongside a Diploma in Education and Training. Since 2014, I have worked within the education sector across a range of roles, supporting employers, students and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
I’m passionate about building genuine, long-term relationships with businesses and take pride in creating responsive training solutions that support workforce development and future growth. I particularly enjoy connecting industry with education and helping employers recognise the value apprenticeships and workforce training can bring to their organisation, whether through upskilling existing staff, developing future talent or supporting career progression opportunities.
Having spent several years working further afield, returning to support local communities and industries was something that mattered greatly to me. I’m proud to be part of South Devon College and enjoy representing the College within the wider business community.
Outside of work, family life is wonderfully busy and our household is firmly rugby mad, with many weekends spent on the sidelines supporting my husband and children. It’s fair to say there is often a degree of sporting chaos involved. When schedules allow, we love spending quality time together with family and friends, socialising and making the most of everything the South West has to offer.
