Head of Business Development
I have worked at South Devon College for over six years, initially as Operations Manager for Apprenticeships, before progressing to Head of Apprenticeships and now Head of Business Development, Talent & Skills.
During this time, I have built strong and lasting relationships with employers and developed a deep understanding of the skills, training and workforce needs of local businesses.
I am passionate about fostering meaningful connections between education and industry, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills employers need, while supporting businesses to grow and thrive. I am proud to continue the excellent work the College does in this space; whether engaging within our local community or welcoming partners onto campus to experience our facilities and provision firsthand.
Alongside my professional role, I am committed to continuous personal development. In 2025, I completed a degree apprenticeship in Leadership and Management, achieving a First-Class Honours. This experience not only expanded my knowledge but also gave me valuable insight into the student journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy a busy family life with my wife and three children. I also thrive on challenge – having now competed in four HYROX events and recently completed the London Marathon for the second time and have also been bitten by the Padel bug! These experiences reflect my resilience, discipline and drive, qualities I bring into both my personal and professional life.
