If you are interested in the world of digital media and want to learn a wide set of technical skills, this is the perfect course for you. It has been designed to give you an introduction to a broad range of areas in the media industry, helping you find a subject you are passionate about and preparing you for future study.
This University of Arts London (UAL) Creative Media Production and Technology Level 2 Diploma is equivalent to four GCSEs at grade 3 or above and is ideal preparation for more advanced courses we offer. You will study disciplines such as graphic design, film making, advertising, animation and photography, as well as develop an understanding of the media industry itself. It is a fast-moving and exciting industry to be part of, and what is more, it is growing all the time. There are now more opportunities in creative media than ever before, and we can help you get there.
You will develop practical skills while learning the theory that underpins being an effective media practitioner. There is a strong focus on creative production as you are introduced to industry-standard software and equipment, editing facilities, audio and video equipment, green screen room and photography studio. You will be taught by enthusiastic, highly experienced staff who will guide you through the course, showing you how to produce video, photography, graphic design, animation and web design before letting you experiment yourself.
You will work in our Apple Mac suites in our newly built Hi Tech & Digital Centre and have access to Adobe Creative Suite at college and at home. Everything about this course has been designed to prepare you for future study on our more advanced courses at Level 3.
You will be required to have achieved Maths at Level 1
