UAL Digital Media: Creative Media Production Extended Diploma
If you’re passionate about photography and want to turn your creativity into a real career, this Creative Media course is perfect for you!
This course gives you the skills, confidence and experience you need to progress into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment within the creative industries. You’ll develop both technical and creative expertise, working with digital cameras, studio and location lighting and professional image editing software. Through hands-on projects, you’ll explore visual storytelling, experiment with different photographic styles and learn how to analyse images and creative work in a meaningful way. By the end of the course, you’ll be producing industry-standard photography that showcases your personal style and professional ability.
The course is built around real-world creative practice. You’ll work to industry-style briefs, meet deadlines and respond to client needs - just like you would in a professional media environment. This means you’re not only improving your photography, but also learning how the creative industry actually works. Alongside your creative development, you’ll gain valuable transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and project management. These skills will support you in any future career path, helping you stand out whether you move into university, an apprenticeship, or straight into the creative economy.
By the time you finish the course, you’ll leave with a strong portfolio, a clear understanding of creative careers, and the confidence to take your next step in photography or the wider media industry.
