Art and Design
From advertising and fashion to film, illustration and architecture, creativity influences every part of our daily lives, and creative industries continue to grow at a rapid pace.
A Level Art and Design at South Devon College gives you the chance to explore your creativity while developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge. You’ll gain experience across a wide range of artistic processes including drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D design, textiles, photography, and mixed media. You’ll also learn how to research, analyse and evaluate your work, and the work of others, in a meaningful and thoughtful way.
This course is designed to help you develop a strong personal artistic style. You'll learn to plan, experiment, refine and present your ideas clearly and professionally. Whether you're building your portfolio for university or developing the confidence to pursue a creative career, this course will give you the tools to take that next step.
The skills you gain on this course - creative thinking, communication, visual storytelling - are highly valued in a wide range of careers, not just in the arts.
Delivered in partnership with AQA, you’ll benefit from expert guidance, excellent facilities, and a supportive environment to help you reach your potential.
