Applied Performing and Production Arts Diploma
Lights up. Music on. Your story starts here.
Ready to turn your passion for Performing Arts into something real? At South Devon College, our UAL Level 3 Performing and Production Arts course gives you the chance to perform, create, experiment and make your mark.
This is a hands-on course where you’ll learn by doing. You’ll step into the rehearsal room, onto the stage and behind the scenes as you develop your skills through exciting creative projects, workshops, rehearsals and live performances.
You’ll explore acting, characterisation, voice, movement, physical theatre, devising and script work, while also discovering what happens behind the curtain through lighting, sound, set, costume, props and technical theatre.
You’ll work with other performers and creatives, bringing ideas to life from the first spark of inspiration through to the final performance. You’ll have opportunities to take part in shows, showcases, creative projects and events, building confidence and gaining valuable experience along the way.
Based at our Paignton campus, you’ll work in specialist creative spaces and build a digital portfolio showcasing your performances, projects and development.
Whether you dream of becoming an actor, performer, director, producer, technician or simply want to find your place in the creative industries, this course will help you discover what you’re capable of.
By the end of the course, you’ll have developed your skills, confidence, creativity and professional experience, ready to take your next step into further study, training or employment.
