Head of Football - UEFA C Licence Coach
Craig Hutcheson is an experienced football development professional with over 20 years of experience working within elite and community football environments. Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in player development, coach education and academy leadership across both grassroots and professional settings.
Craig previously managed Torquay United Community Trust, where he was instrumental in helping establish the club’s youth academy, a structure that continues to thrive today. His extensive experience in child development has seen him work with young people ranging from 3 to 18 years old, creating inclusive and progressive pathways for players of all abilities.
Alongside his youth development work, Craig has managed adult football teams and spent eight years as Head of Academies at South Devon College. More recently, he has taken on the role of Head of Football at South Devon College while also leading Torquay United Under 18’s programme.
Craig has also worked in education and apprenticeship assessment, assessing sport coach apprenticeships up to Level 4 standard. Passionate about developing not only players but also coaches, he continues to support the growth of future talent within the game.
His qualifications include the FA Advanced Youth Award, UEFA C Licence, the FA Generic Tutor Training qualification, afPE Level 3 Certificate, Junior Football Leaders (Teacher).
