Professional Services Staff Governor
Charlotte’s connection with South Devon College began in 2012 when she joined the FdA Business and Management programme. From the moment she walked through the door, she felt that the college offered something genuinely special, and that experience shaped her future career aspirations. After graduating, she knew she wanted to return as a member of staff and contribute to the community that had supported her as soon as the right opportunity arose.
Since joining the Higher Education team in 2018, she has worked in a range of roles that have allowed her to grow, learn, and take on new challenges. Beginning as an HE Administrator while raising two young children, she quickly learnt that HE in an FE College is a fast paced and complex world. She then progressed into roles focused on quality, compliance, and the student experience. Her work has included navigating major regulatory changes, supporting staff through periods of adjustment, and helping to uphold the high standards that define the College and University Centre.
Charlotte’s current role is HE Academic Standards and Quality Manager. She is passionate about creating positive experiences for students and staff alike. She values collaboration, open communication and fairness, and brings these principles into everything she does.
As Professional Services Staff Governor, she is proud to represent colleagues and contribute to the strategic direction of South Devon College – a place that has played such an important part in her own journey.
