Our courses provide you with the opportunity of a vocational placement within the local area, as well as sessions that develop your practical skills across areas such as first aid, manual handling and safeguarding. We have strong links with employers across Torbay and South Devon, which includes local hospitals and other care providers. These placements support you with the vocational aspect of your course, developing excellent employability skills.
During your studies at South Devon College you will be taught by a team of qualified staff with years of professional experience, who continue to practise in their chosen field. We have a state-of-the-art practical learning environment to support learning in a variety of areas including anatomy and physiology, as well as equipment that develops the skills necessary for working in a clinical environment such as a hospital, or in the community within the social sector.
