Adult Care Diploma Level 3
This is an occupational qualification for those who work in Lead Adult Care Worker roles in England or are working towards attaining this role.
Lead Adult Care Workers are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. In addition, Lead Adult Care Workers have responsibility for providing supervision, frontline leadership, guidance, and direction for others, or working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability.
Lead Adult Care Workers may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings.
All mandatory units will be delivered via pre-recorded lessons provided by an industry expert. Once a month the College will deliver a community of practice tutorial which all students will be expected to attend. A qualified Trainer Facilitator/ Assessor will support this development via one-to-one tutorials and observations in practice, as prearranged with you and your employer.
On successful completion of this course, you could progress onto Higher Education, including a foundation degree at University Centre South Devon or higher-level study in other health or social care areas.

- You must already be working in the care sector and have undertaken study or continuous professional development within the last 5 years
