I have been playing football since I was seven, and I then joined the College team to help with developing my skills. I’m gaining more social skills, confidence and leadership skills, as well as seeing an improvement in my football skills.
“I enjoy the friendships being made and the trips to away games. And the home game atmosphere with laughter and happiness is always fun.”
“I love it. The guys are easy to talk to and we have a lot of fun. I like a brand new site day when everything is covered in mud and you are trying to pull pipes through chest height trenches and wrestling them through. I feel like I have achieved something.”
“You need to push yourself and be determined. I would say to anyone thinking about training to be a plumber, go for it. If you find someone to give you a chance it’s a win win. You have to have a good outlook on things and be resilient.
“The college has helped me a lot, giving me the opportunity and pathway through to TUAFC, and training most days has helped me improve all aspects of my game and become a better player.”
I was due to study history with English, I've always wanted to work in something creative and when I saw the film and photography course, it just kind of called out to me.
I've always been a big film lover, so I was, you know, really intrigued and I love to write, so it seemed like kind of a natural fit for me.

“I chose the T level because I knew I would enjoy the combination of practical and theory, so I could put what I learned in college into practice in my industry placement at a local primary school, whilst developing new skills.
“The staff are also amazingly supportive in getting you through the course – they support students so well with weekly one-to-one meetings with our tutors to talk through issues.”
“When I started the T level I knew I wanted to specialise and I looked into Norland and the amazing opportunities that came with it. I immediately knew it was where I saw myself in the future.
“The college staff were incredibly supportive and went above and beyond in helping me work out what to do – they informed us about all of the options available to us after the course and gave us guidance so we could make fully-informed decisions.”
