Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Standard

This Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship is designed for anyone currently working in, or aiming to work within, the electrical sector as an electrician.

You will develop the essential skills needed for employment in this field, including electrical scientific principles, up-to-date rules, regulations, and installation methods through theory sessions.

Practical sessions will cover a range of topics including different cable types, various wiring methods, and how to terminate all cable types. You will also gain extensive knowledge in testing, inspection, and fault finding for electrical installations.

Attendance at College one day per week is required, during which you will study both theory and practical elements. Competence will be demonstrated through onsite assessments and an e-portfolio of evidence. On completion, you must pass an end point assessment (AM2S) to achieve the full apprenticeship standard.
