Construction Operative Apprenticeship
Are you ready to build your future in construction? Our 24-month Construction Operative Apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and comprehensive training in a variety of construction tasks, including:
Setting out
Concreting
Drainage
Brick and block walls
Patio and paving
Timber decking and fencing
Timber partition walling
Plaster boarding and plastering
To enrol, you'll need a suitable employer to work with, where you'll apply your skills in the workplace. Your progress will be assessed through a range of competencies, culminating in an End Point Assessment.
Suitable employers would be general builders, hard landscapers, groundworkers, contractors.

You will need to have an employer willing to support you through the apprenticeship that covers a range of construction tasks. Please note that some of our apprenticeship programmes have minimum entry requirements, particularly regarding English and maths, as set out by Skills England and funding rules.

How to set out and build brick and block walls, including retaining walls.
How to set out and install a range of drainge components.
How to set out and lay paving. (Patios and paving)
How to construct timber decking and fencing.
How to fix plasterboard and apply plaster.
