Watercolour for Beginners

Watercolour for Beginners

Discover the beauty and versatility of watercolour painting in this 10-week course designed specifically for beginners. Whether you're completely new to painting or returning to it after a break, this friendly and supportive class will introduce you to the essential techniques, tools, and creative approaches that form the foundation of watercolour art. Through guided exercises and personal experimentation, you'll learn how to mix colours, control water flow, create texture, and build confidence in your own artistic style.

Who is this for?

This course is perfect for anyone with little to no experience in painting who wants to explore their creativity through watercolour. It’s also ideal for those who may have dabbled in art before and are looking to refresh their skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment. No prior knowledge or materials are required—just a willingness to learn and enjoy the process.

What’s involved?

Over the 10 weeks, you’ll take part in hands-on sessions that cover everything from brush techniques and colour theory to composition and layering. Each class will focus on a different aspect of watercolour painting, allowing you to gradually build your skills and confidence. You’ll work on individual projects, receive personalised feedback, and have the opportunity to develop your own artistic voice. By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of completed pieces and a solid foundation to continue your watercolour journey independently.
