Are you aged 16-18 and passionate about the outdoors, teamwork, and leading others? This course is designed to help you build the skills, confidence and experience you need to progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment in the outdoor sector.
This dynamic, hands?on programme gives you the chance to develop a wide range of physical, mental and personal skills through engaging land?based and water?based activities. You’ll take part in expeditions, conservation work and outdoor adventures that challenge you, build resilience and help you learn how to inspire others. You’ll also have opportunities to gain work experience through course activities and continue developing your maths and English skills to support your future progression.
The course is ideal if you're interested in careers in outdoor education and is an excellent stepping stone to Level 3 Adventure Sports programmes or related apprenticeships. You’ll be supported by experienced tutors and qualified outdoor instructors, with access to high?quality equipment, specialist facilities and some of the most beautiful outdoor environments in the country. By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to take on your next challenge with confidence and a sense of adventure.
You will need to have achieved a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above
You should have a genuine interest in this subject
Previous experience of participation in adventure sports.
Outdoor activity skills (for example: climbing, paddling, hill walking and mountain biking)
