At South Devon College, we understand that a successful learning experience looks different for everyone. That’s why we offer The Lodge, a dedicated, supportive space on our Paignton Vantage Point Campus designed specifically for students with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
The Lodge provides a calm, low-stimulation environment, giving students a safe space to recharge, reflect and refocus during the college day. Whether you’re taking time out from a busy classroom or simply need a quieter place to study, The Lodge offers a welcoming and understanding atmosphere tailored to your needs.
Our experienced and empathetic staff are on hand throughout the day to support students in navigating unstructured times such as breaks and lunch. They also offer help with study routines, organisation, communication, and social interaction skills, building confidence both in and out of the classroom.
This personalised approach ensures every student can thrive in a way that works for them, helping to reduce anxiety, promote independence, and develop essential life and learning skills.
