Find out moreAt South Devon College, our award-winning Hi Tech & Digital Centre offers an exceptional training environment for students pursuing careers in Hi-Tech Engineering and Electronics. Purpose-built and equipped with the latest industry-standard technology, this £17 million facility is designed to mirror the workplaces you’ll progress into, ensuring you graduate with the skills, confidence and experience employers are looking for.
Inside the Centre, you’ll train in real-life manufacturing workshops, precision engineering labs, design suites and digital programming environments. You’ll have hands-on access to cutting-edge technologies including 3D printing and additive manufacturing, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems, CNC machining and precision engineering tools, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), photonics and microelectronics.
Our experienced and passionate engineering staff bring expertise from both mechanical and electrical/electronic specialisms, offering real-world insight and personalised guidance throughout your learning journey. You’ll be working with the same advanced tools and software used in industry today, preparing you for a smooth transition into employment or higher-level study.
