South Devon College was delighted to welcome colleagues to Horizons Restaurant who are all celebrating twenty years of dedicated service this year.

 

Staff present have collectively achieved 600 years in total of much appreciated service which was recognised and celebrated on the night.

South Devon College is proud to have gained the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) Platinum accreditation, the highest level awarded by the people management standard. The College received Platinum as a result of the whole College working to ensure the development and wellbeing of its employees. The quality standard was awarded following rigorous assessment, with two-thirds of the staff contributing fully to an online survey and the College providing numerous pieces of evidence to demonstrate their fulfilment of the exacting criteria which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

Most recently, the College was recognised as a ‘Disability Confident Committed Employer’.  As a result of the significant title, the award will see the College working closely alongside the DWP in the future to ensure that all disabled employees and those with long-term health conditions have the opportunities to reach their full potential and realise their aspirations.
