Train the Trainer
The Train the Trainer workshop is run by the college’s teacher training team and is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to deliver impactful and engaging training sessions. This interactive workshop is an introduction to both theory and practical elements of how lead and train others. This programme is ideal for new trainers or experienced facilitators looking to sharpen their skills.

How to plan and deliver inclusive training sessions
The workshop will include an outline of the science of learning and how to apply this to your planning and delivery in order to engage trainees
You will be given techniques on how to check for understanding
The team will also demonstrate a range of teaching techniques to keep trainees engaged
How to make your delivery inclusive.
Mastering verbal, non-verbal, and listening skills to captivate and motivate students

Katy has worked in secondary schools (private and public), further education (FE) and higher education (HE) environments and is qualified with a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education, QTS and QTLS. She holds a Master’s in Education and is studying for her Professional Doctorate in Education with a specialism in outdoor education. She has taught for over 10 years and developed and managed FE and HE programmes with a wide range of experience teaching across a large range of levels.
