Operations Manager Apprenticeship Level 5
This apprenticeship is ideal if you are a middle manager, or aspiring to senior management. With a more comprehensive structure, this apprenticeship will give you the skills and competencies needed to become an effective middle/senior manager and take you a step further towards Chartered Manager status. You will study a recognised management qualification at Level 5 covering theory and practical application and also complete the work based requirements of the apprenticeship.
You will learn through formal tuition with practical tasks, and construction of a work-based project and portfolio of evidence. You will be required to relate your studies to your operational environment to help progress both yourself and those around you, and also make improvements to the organisation.
You will achieve the following qualifications:
Operations Manager apprenticeship
CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership (classroom or Online)
Level 2 Functional Skills English (classroom or online, if required)
Level 2 Functional Skills Maths (classroom or online, if required)
Lessons will be taught through formal classroom or online tuition, with some private research and study outside of the classroom (weekly taught sessions over 12 months).
You will be required to demonstrate the skills and abilities you have developed through formal written assignments. You will also collect a portfolio of evidence to support the competence part of the qualification relating to your management role within the organisation. There will also be a requirement to complete a work-based project. Both the project and the portfolio will be assessed through an End Point Assessment where you will need to formally present your evidence to an interview panel.

Course Details
- You will require good literacy and IT skills
- You must have completed an appropriate vocational qualification at Level 3
- You must have a GCSE Grade 4(C) in Maths
- You must have a GCSE Grade 4(C) in English Language and Grade 5(B) in English Literature
- You should be in a management position with responsibility for both people and processes
