NCFE CACHE Counselling Skills Certificate (Online) Level 2
This invaluable online course aims to provide students with an introduction to the use of counselling skills.
There are 4 units to study within this 8 week course. All assessments are coursework based.
Unit 01 Using counselling skills
Unit 02 Introduction to counselling skills theories
Unit 03 Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills
Unit 04 Counselling skills and personal development
While successful completion of this course does not qualify you to work as a counsellor, this qualification is great for those who are looking to start their journey to becoming a counsellor, and also for those who already work with others and would like to develop their communication skills for CPD. All knowledge learned is transferable to any role where an individual works with others e.g. in teaching, healthcare, mental health, social work etc.
You will learn independently on our online platform but with the support of a personal tutor. All course material and lessons are held on our online platform – you can access in your own time. There are no live lessons to attend.
On completion of this course, you can progress to our Level 3 Counselling Diploma at South Devon College, or progress to an external provider (ensure that you check entry requirements of external providers).
This course will be fully subsidised for those who are over 19, have been resident in the UK for three years, with an exception of those who live within a devolved adult education area and those currently enrolled on an apprenticeship – please click here for more information.

I’ve recently completed my Level 5 HR Consultant Partner Apprenticeship at South Devon College and have enjoyed every minute!
