Unlock Your Creativity: Join Our Introduction to Printmaking Workshop!
Discover the fascinating world of printmaking in this hands-on, immersive workshop. Over the course of eight weeks, you’ll delve into various printmaking techniques. We will explore monoprint, lino printing, dry-point and silk-screening.
Tutors will guide you through workshops and demonstrations, then give individual feedback so you can learn the fundamental technical skills and develop confidence in your printmaking.
Then once you have learned these skills you will embark on a personal project using these methods to create a series of prints that reflect your unique artistic voice.
Course Details
- You should have a genuine interest in this subject
Creating images for screen
Coating and exposing your screen
Setting up the hand bench for printing
Mixing inks
Understand various stencil making techniques and their suitability for assorted effects and imagery
Coat and expose a screen using photographic emulsion and a vacuum press
Have confidence in printing and registering for multiple colours on a hand bench
