Art and Design A Level
A Level Art and Design provides engaging and innovative learning experiences where art, craft and design practice is meaningfully integrated with theoretical knowledge and understanding.
It is particularly suitable for those who enjoy a wide range of art processes as you will be introduced to practical sessions in drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D processes, textiles, photography and mixed media with many opportunities to experiment with new materials and processes to develop your learning of the subject.
This A Level course is great for those with a passion for exploring creative art methods. You will be required to develop projects through planning, experimentation, research, contextual references, written analysis and evaluation and evidence in appropriate formats.
This course will provide you with opportunities to develop a broad foundation of critical, practical and theoretical skills that offers a holistic understanding of a range of practices and contexts in the visual arts, crafts and design fields; culminating in greater specialism and achievement.
Course Details
- You will need to have achieved a GCSE in Maths or English at grade C / 4 or above
- You must have 5 GCSEs at Grade 4(C) or above
