Learning and Skills Mentor Apprenticeship Level 4
The primary aim of this curriculum is to support and develop new and aspiring mentors to become highly effective mentors who are able to guide, support and contribute to the growth and development of others. The learning and skills mentor apprenticeship is designed to equip mentors with the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to make a positive impact on others whether it be in a formal educational setting, workplace or community environment.
Course Details
- You will need to have achieved a level 3 qualification
- Level 2 English and Maths will be required by completion.
Introduction to Mentoring – Values and beliefs, qualities and behaviours, Roles and Responsibilities of a mentor.
Developing Key Mentoring Skills – Contracting, assessing starting points, how to plan, monitor and track sessions. The mentoring relationship.
The Mentoring Process – Mentoring Models, dealing with barriers, mentoring skills, practical sessions and reflection. Supervision.
