Torquay United’s home fixture in February will welcome local students to the stands to cheer alongside regular fans as the team hosts another Community Day, sponsored by South Devon College.
Pupils from Years 7, 8, and 9 from across the Bay are invited to attend the action-packed day on Saturday 3rd February, which will see TUAFC take on St Albans.
Following on from the success of the last Community Day, when hundreds of local sports people witnessed The Gulls turn on the style in a 5-1 victory over Welling, it’s now the turn of local secondary school students to watch the action in Plainmoor’s Wollens Terrace for just £2 per person.
All Year 7, 8 and 9 students who attend schools within the TQ postal code area can apply for tickets for themselves, their friends and family, as once again TUAFC and South Devon College join forces to support the local community.
“It promises to be another fantastic day for all involved,” said TUAFC Supporters Liaison Officer Dominic Mee.
“Our Community Days continue to be a brilliant way for Torbay’s residents to come together, and we thank South Devon College for once again supporting us with this venture to benefit everyone in the Bay.”
Kelly Sooben, Vice Principal at South Devon College, said: “South Devon College is incredibly proud to be sponsoring Torquay United’s February Community Day, after such a wonderful day in October.
“It’s fantastic to be able to offer opportunities like this to our community and particularly to young people across Torbay. Events like this are hugely important in inspiring young people and in encouraging families to get out and about and experience all that the Bay has to offer.”
