8th January 2024
We have been informed that essential roadworks to rebuild part of Goodrington Road in Paignton are due to start on Monday 22 January 2024 and will take up to 12 weeks.
This means sections of Goodrington Road will be closed to vehicles between Davies Avenue and Grange Road at the Dartmouth Road end.
The work will be in two phases to maintain access to Palm Tree View for vehicles and deliveries.
During the works, the road will need to be under a 24-hour closure including at night. Footpaths will always remain open for pedestrians.
Traffic will be diverted onto local roads. There will be signs clearly marking the diversion route.
Stagecoach buses will be operating as usual and following diversion routes, however some services may be delayed as a result of these works.
More information, including maps showing the works and diversion routes, can be found on the Goodrington Road Reconstruction page on Torbay Council’s website.
Please take likely delays into account when planning your journeys and we would advise leaving more time than usual for your travel plans.
