Road safety is of the upmost importance to both Torbay Council and the residents of Torbay.
That’s why this autumn, the council in partnership with Vision Zero South West are launching a road safety campaign that aims to reduce the number of road casualties and fatal incidents on our roads.
The campaign will be officially launched at South Devon College on Tuesday 20th September, with an informative and interactive event for staff and students.
Throughout the day everyone is invited to attend the event, which is taking place a the Paignton Campus, to meet and talk to road safety experts from the emergency services, test their reactive times and experience what its like to be on the scene of a fatal accident.
The event is designed to be interactive and engaging, with students also invited to share stories of their experiences on Torbay’s roads.
Local media have been invited along to the event to really help raise the profile of the importance of road safety not only across Torbay but the wider South West.
The event will run from 9am until 2pm, with college staff and students encouraged to attend throughout the day.
