  • Carpentry lecturer, Steve Jones, publishes series of books

Home » News » All News » Carpentry lecturer, Steve Jones, publishes series of books

29th June 2021

In January 2020, Steve Jones had co-written two carpentry and joinery text books that were published by a leading educational publisher. One was written to support Level 2 site carpentry and architectural joinery apprentices and students completing technical certificates, the other for advanced Level 3 students.

In addition to these books, he also recently wrote a Level 1 carpentry and joinery text book; which is due to be released in July this year. This book was aimed at a broader range of students studying vocational qualifications as an introduction to the construction industry. All three books have been endorsed by the awarding body ‘City and Guilds’ and published as paperback additions, eTextbooks and ‘Dynamic Learning Packages’.

Steve isn’t stopping there though. He said: “Since the publication of these series of carpentry and joinery books, I have been writing a further two text books. These are to support students studying the ‘On-Site Construction’ and ‘Building Service Engineering in Construction’ T Levels.

“I’m very excited to have written new material to update the books that I had initially produced some time ago, and hope that they can meet my objectives to support students in their careers in the construction industry.”

Great work Steve! Look forward to hearing more about your upcoming release and your future work!
