A group of Business students from South Devon College has just returned from an Erasmus+ trip to Arnhem in The Netherlands. Over the course of two weeks, our students participated in ‘The Business Game’ with fellow Dutch and German students. During week one of ‘The Business Game’ the students created and set-up a number of simulated office supply businesses. Throughout week two, these businesses traded with other student led businesses based at our campus in Paignton and Kiel, Germany.
The purpose of the trip, which is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, is to provide our students with an international work and cultural experience. Whilst exploring the Netherlands, our students enjoyed a weekend visit to Amsterdam, with highlights including the Anne Frank House, the Ajax stadium, and a canal cruise. The town of Arnhem was also thoroughly explored during the two weeks, initially as a college group and later with their Dutch & German ‘Business Game’ colleagues as new international friendships developed.
All of the students had a great time with one of the participating students, Ellie Cobain, saying ‘it was a great trip with great company – I’ve had the best experience!’
