At 12pm on 11th November 2019, Remembrance Day, people gathered in Gold Lions Square in Newton Abbot to witness the unveiling of a new bench constructed by South Devon College construction students in recognition of the valiant efforts and sacrifices soldiers have made and continue to make for this country.

A big thank you is deserved for the fantastic back panels that were wonderfully painted by pupils from All Saints Marsh Academy. The children and their teachers attended the reveal to see their work proudly presented in the heart of Newton Abbot.

Brewers and Inter-Line supplied a range of materials between them for the construction students to use that has resulted in this fine display of craftsmanship. The College are truly grateful for their ongoing support.

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for this event with many members of the public joining with the supporters of this project to admire the work carried out by students of various ages.
