South Devon College provides the Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship and the popularity of this course has increased year on year. The apprenticeship covers a range of areas. It will see students learn about amenity and production horticulture. Themes will include landscaping, which covers the planning, creation and maintenance of designed landscapes, both urban and rural, such as parks and planning of domestic gardens. Production horticulture deals with the large-scale production of plants for food and ornamental purposes.
We have had a significant growth in students applying to study Horticulture apprenticeships and are happy to announce we are looking for more employers that can offer apprenticeship positions for aspiring and dedicated students. Recruiting an apprentice is a great way to grow your workforce and introduce new, developing talent to your business. It also gives your existing workforce the chance to develop their ability to train others.
South Devon College is proud of the level of recruitment support it provides to businesses taking on apprentices, running our own selection process so you can be sure you are getting the right apprentice for your business. You will be assigned a designated point of contact to support you through the entirety of the apprenticeship programme, right from your initial enquiry.
The College provides high quality training to both students and employers to get the best for both out of apprenticeships.
