During National Apprenticeship Week/National Careers Week, Jess Tucker in Helpzone ran an ‘Apprentice-style’ business pitch competition for students to enter. We are proud to announce the winner was Year 11 student from South Devon High School, Jobie Triffitt. Principal, Stephen Criddle, presented him with his prize which was a £100 PC World voucher.
Jess Tucker says: ‘We held our pitch competition and had 3 entrants who pitched to myself, Eamon Wykes and Carrie Piper, all of whom were fantastic. We scored each contestant under the criteria listed below:
- Idea creativity
- Idea feasibility
- Clear target customer
- Matching promotional method to target market
- Student’s confidence to deliver
- Quality of presentation
Jobie delivered in all these areas, providing a creative and confident pitch around a new brand of hat.’
It’s called ‘The Baked Beanie’. We see what you did there Jobie. Well done!
