South Devon College recently played host to an international business game.
Eight South Devon College business students travelled to Kiel, Germany while eight German students made the journey to Arnhem in Holland, and in return seven Dutch students came to South Devon College.
The Level 2 and 3 Business students participated in a real-life activity of starting a business from scratch. The aim of the game was to start the business for the best price and turn a profit. Each team was asked to buy in products from a wholesaler, design a catalogue, price list and business documents complete with their own company logo.
The teams were then expected to trade with Germany and Holland for the best prices and products to equip an office. Each team had to negotiate discounts and make a profit.
