It was another lively week at South Devon College as students and teachers joined forces to take part in this year’s Pudsey Games for Children in Need.
Organised by the South Devon College Students’ Union team, the Pudsey Games offered students the chance to take part in an exciting mixture of fundraising activities. From face painting to duck racing, basketball and pool competitions, and even ‘Onesie Wednesday’ – the efforts of everyone involved helped to raise vital funds for an essential cause.
Amongst all the buzz and hysteria, the games reached a lively climax with the animated audience gathering in the centre of the College to witness brave staff members volunteer to ‘get gunged’ in the bath!
Despite being a very busy bear, the heroics of the College’s students and staff didn’t go unnoticed. Taking time out of his hectic and busy schedule, the College also welcomed the visit of Pudsey himself to keep a beady eye over everything!
Student Liaison Administrator at South Devon College, Katie Watkins said, “The College has definitely been turned yellow this week! We’ve had huge amounts of support from local businesses for our fundraising activities, inspiring staff and students alike to go that little bit further with their efforts to try and beat last year’s amazing total”.
Across the years, South Devon College has actively engaged in a number of worthwhile causes, helping to raise important funds. It’s with huge pleasure we announce that the College raised over £654.06 towards this year’s Children in Need appeal.
The South Devon College Students’ Union plays an active part in the everyday working of the College and provides students with a platform for their voices to be heard.
