TLH Leisure Resort is working alongside South Devon College to offer staff the opportunity to gain essential skills to communicate more effectively at work.
The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme is a fully funded course to help improve the English of employees who wish to gain better communication skills, and enhance their customer service.
Neil Hext – Business Growth Coordinator and Ann Ringrose – Lecturer in English at South Devon College have been working with the training officer at TLH, Mary-Ann, to deliver the programme to Emilia, Nikola, Gosia, Marzena, Marlena, Alicja and Wasana
It’s aimed at non-native English speakers, looking to take up a new language or validate their skills. The TLH Leisure Resort ESOL programme with South Devon College, allows employees to gain the essential skills needed to make communicating easier at work. The programme is delivered at the place of work with an ESOL tutor. The qualification is fully funded by Learndirect and delivered by South Devon College at TLH Leisure Resort.
The programme consists of the following;
- Accredited delivery of a C&G ESOL Level 1 Speaking & Listening – including, pronunciation, verbs, pre/past tense and listening
- Self-study via online Moodle – time monitored for Guided Learning Hours
