FdA Game and Interactive Design student Thomas Rainey has been presented with a certificate for participating in Fujitsu’s Operation Innovation 2017 competition.
Students aged 16 and over from Fujitsu Education Ambassador establishments across the UK were invited to take part in the competition, which was launched at the UK head office in London.
Entrants had to develop a concept around the internet of things (IoT) and come up with a way to solve real-world problem using IoT technology. The problem could occur within one of three sectors: education, utilities and or manufacturing.
Ash Merchant, Education Director for Fujitsu UK and Ireland, presented Thomas with the certificate. The winning project was developed further by South Devon College students Joel Stoddard-Turvey (Computing), Ben Baber- Hale (Computing) and Nikita Coombes (Art and Design).
