South Devon College welcomed guests from Bromangymnasiet College in Sweden to discuss future collaborations on the Erasmus+ project. Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport which aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe.
Bitte Åström – Principal at Bromangymnasiet College, Elisabet Engelbrekts – Assistant Principal (Student Support) Bromangymnasiet College, Mea Larencranz – International Liaison Manager, were visiting the College to review and discuss projects involving both staff CPD and student international work experience.
Through Erasmus+, South Devon College students have visited Sweden, France, Germany and Ireland and were recently host to a group of students from Sweden and Norway. The experience has allowed the students to participate in a joint project, Susswater, which aims to explore the sustainable use of water.
Steve Caunter, Assistant Principal for Hi-Tech and Digital at South Devon College said, “Erasmus+ is a fantastic programme. European work placements and cultural experiences offer a unique and creative way for both students and staff to gain valuable experience, and the opportunity to share knowledge. We look forward to working on future projects together.”
