South Devon College’s Business Advantage have gained further recognition for their award-winning Accountancy provision by being accredited as an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) ‘Gold Approved Learning Partner’ – the only provider in Devon and Cornwall to hold this recognition for quality of provision. The ACCA Approved Learning Partner (ALP) programme gives formal recognition to leading providers for the quality of tuition and support offered to ACCA students.
Mark Cornell, ACCA director, Europe and the Americas said, “We are delighted that South Devon College is now an ACCA Gold Approved Learning Partner, showcasing their excellence as a quality leading provider. This is a mutually beneficial partnership that enables effective and innovative accountancy course delivery and first-class support to South Devon College students as they pursue their financial and corporate career aspirations.”

ACCA regard the relationship with learning providers as fundamental to the success of its student body. Stephen Criddle, Principal at South Devon College, said “The College is delighted to receive this recognition for the outstanding tuition and support it offers throughout completion of the ACCA qualification and beyond. Credit must go to the fantastic well qualified and dedicated accountancy team.”
The accolade is further evidence of how South Devon College and their Business Advantage are continuing to successfully build a leading reputation for delivering top quality accountancy training; the team won AAT Champion 2016, won the AAT Large Training Provider of the Year 2015 and were also nominated for Apprenticeship Training Provider in 2014. This recognition proves their commitment to responding to the needs of local businesses and customer’s needs.
The team have successfully created a professional and supportive learning environment, which allows students to develop the skills necessary to excel in a career in accountancy and expanded the opportunities for residents in the Devon area.
Business Advantage have ACCA modules and AAT courses starting in January and throughout Devon in 2017 at Paignton, Newton Abbot (Heathfield) and Plymouth centres.
