Professional sportsperson Chris Todd has been appointed as a new Football Coach at South Devon College.
Having acquired 20 years’ experience working and playing Football at a professional level, Chris hopes to transfer his invaluable knowledge from the professional game to the aspiring students training at the College.
Chris said, “I’m really excited to be joining South Devon College, it’s a new venture in my career. My aim is to encourage and inspire the next generation of athletes, to guide them as professional players and allow them to develop as individuals. With some hard work and determination, there’s no limits to what can be achieved.”
The former Torquay United player welcomes the challenge and is looking forward to supporting the local community. There are some exciting plans to build the Football Development Programme at the College with hopes of expanding the provision in the near future.
Danny Gaze, Programme Coordinator for Sport and Adventure said, “We are really pleased and excited to welcome Chris to the team. For the students to work on a daily basis with someone with his experience and knowledge of the game is fantastic for their development. We spoke in depth with Chris about our vision for the future and he is keen to be part of it.”
