17th August 2016

A career in the Hospitality and Catering industry offers a dynamic working environment and endless creative opportunities.  South Devon College is launching two intensive fast-track programmes tailored for adults, the Level 3 Professional Chef Diploma and the Level 3 Professional Patisserie and Confectionery Diploma. The programmes will be delivered over two days per week, allowing participants to gain the specific advanced professional skills, knowledge and other workplace essentials that will help them secure the job of their dreams. Work placements will be available to further develop their practical skills.

Award winning Chocolatier and Pastry Chef Mark Tilling, winner of BBC 2’s Bake Off: Crème de la Crème 2016 will be delivering workshops on the Professional Patisserie and Confectionery programme. Mark will demonstrate a number of specialist and complex skills and help participants develop their techniques.

.

Practical skills will be taught, developed and assessed in the College’s training kitchens and fine-dining training restaurant, Horizons. Participants will have the support and experience of guest chefs and speakers and industry visits in addition to classroom based work and assessment.

A fast-track Diploma will provide an excellent range of industry specific skills that will enhance career prospects and progress in this exciting industry.

.

Subject to eligibility, an Adult Loan is available to cover course fees.
