The STEM Graduates into Business project aims to incentivise and support small and medium employers working across Devon to employ a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) graduate intern.
As a strategic partner in the University of Plymouth run project, University Centre South Devon (UCSD) are hosting a breakfast event on Friday 8th November.
Aimed at small and medium sized employers the event will be an opportunity to find out about other free training and support available for businesses by working with local education providers; including access to higher skills training through two European Social Fund (ESF) projects: Strategic Employer Engagement in Devon (SEED) and Hidden Talent in Devon (HTiD).
With free support and incentive payments of up to £3,600, the project provides SMEs with access to the specialist skills a STEM graduate brings; while providing paid opportunities for recent STEM graduates to gain experience and advocating the benefits of employment within an SME.
