YMCA Teaching Yoga (Practitioner) Diploma Level 3
If you want to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a yoga instructor, this course is for you.
The YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga (Practitioner) qualification is aimed at anoyone who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a yoga instructor. It recognises the skills, knowledge and competence required of an individual to work in an unsupervised capacity to plan, instruct and evaluate a safe and effective yoga session.
There are two options available, the correct course for you will depend on your prior knowledge and achievement.
Therefore, if you already hold a fitness qualification, please apply for course code DP3YOG1P.
If you do not hold an up-to-date fitness instructor qualification, please apply for course code DP3YAP1P.
If you are unsure, please apply and wait for a call back from a member of the team, where you will then be invited to and interview to discuss and sign up to the course.
Course Details
- You must have completed Anatomy and Physiology Level 2 and Level 3
Understanding the philosophy and fundamentals of yoga
How to programme a yoga session
How to instruct a yoga session
Anatomy and Physiology required when exercise programming and designing for a range of clients
Importance of professionalism, customer service, effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and understanding of commonly occurring medically controlled diseases and health conditions
