Understanding Mental Health Certificate Level 3
This course is aimed at adults looking to improve their understanding of mental health and mental wellbeing. During the course you will develop your knowledge of mental health legislation, how services and attitudes have changed, support and treatment options, and the skills required to work in the mental health service.
This course is 18 weeks in duration and has a blended delivery with resources and assessments being online that you are able to access where there will be additional information and guest speakers (to be confirmed). You will also have four face-to-face classroom-based sessions on Wednesday afternoons. This provides the opportunity to access your tutor in person and also South Devon College’s Helpzone team for information, advice and guidance, as well as careers and course advice (pre-bookable).
We are offering a guaranteed interview for Health Professions and Nursing degrees if you complete this course and have a grade C/4 or Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
If you are aged 19 and over you may have options to help fund your studies with us, particularly if this is your first full Level 3 qualification. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances and could mean you are entitled to free or reduced course fees. You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment.
