UAL Digital Media: Film and Television Production Extended Diploma Level 3
This is an advanced course that focuses on film production, giving you a specialist set of skills that will provide you with a head start for a career in film and TV industries all over the world.
If you’re not familiar with the career opportunities within film, or perhaps haven’t decided exactly what you’d like to do yet, don’t worry – this course covers a range of topics including planning, scriptwriting, filming, and editing. You will experience the broad range of opportunities the film industry offers and discover what you love most. You will learn skills such as planning, script writing, filming and editing, enabling you to experience the broad range of opportunities this industry can offer.
The course features plenty of creative production, so you’ll get lots of experience using industry-standard equipment in our Apple Mac suites. You’ll be learning as if you were on-set or in the studio, using the same software the professionals do and learning from experienced tutors who have been a part of the film and TV industry for years.
This is an advanced course, which is equivalent to three A Levels. After you’ve completed it, you can consider our apprenticeship in Creative Digital Media, progressing to university or go into employment. You could continue your studies with us by enrolling on the Film and Photography foundation degree at University Centre South Devon. Many of our students progress onto this degree, which builds on what you learn at Level 3 and develops your technical expertise.
- You will be required to have achieved Maths at Level 2
- You will be required to have achieved English at Level 2
- You will need to have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above, including Maths and English
- You should have a genuine interest in this subject
