UAL Art and Design Applied General Diploma Level 3
The Diploma is for students seeking to undertake a broad or specialist programme of study in art and design. It focuses on developing your understanding and application of the creative process to enable you to develop creative ideas and produce outcomes. While you can take this qualification in a specialist subject – fine art, fashion and textiles, lens-based media, 3D and ceramics – this qualification is ideal if yiou haven’t decided what discipline and subject area within art and design you wish to develop your practice.
In your second year, you’ll progress to the Extended Diploma. If you choose to do the Extended Diploma, you will build on the knowledge learnt in the Diploma engaging in more complex tasks. You will also learn to apply your knowledge of the creative process to a personal creative practice. For example, textiles, fashion, graphics, or photography. You will learn to show an increased amount of autonomy and critical thinking to develop creative ideas and produce outcomes.
The College is an accredited centre of excellence working in partnership with the University of the Arts London (UAL); Europe’s largest specialist art and design awarding body, giving you the best possible platform from which to progress and succeed.
