Please note: This course will be blocked for applications from 7th June 2019 for this academic year. Any applicants must complete the course by 12th July 2019. This qualification will be open for applications again from 1st August 2019.
This qualification is a great opportunity to improve your understanding of nutrition and health. You can complete the course online, allowing you the flexibility of studying in your own time.
The topics you will cover include: understanding the importance of eating healthily and maintaining hydration, developing your understanding of food choices, how to plan a healthy diet for yourself and others, eating disorders, the connections between food and emotions and how to seek help and support.
There is a range of online teaching materials that you will work your way through, and at the end of each section you will complete a short assessment. The course is structured in small sections so that you can complete a section even if you only have a short amount of time.
The total study time for this course is 43 hours, and there are three units of assessment to complete. Please note that all assessment work must be completed within the academic year, and you will be required to complete an enrolment form prior to starting the course.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, however it is recommended that you are confident in using computers and have regular internet access. You must be aged 19+ and have lived in the UK for the last three years.
