Music Performance and Production Diploma

The Music Level 2 Diploma is a 1-year course that is equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, and has been designed to prepare you for higher-level study. The course covers both the performance and technical side of music, allowing you to develop your skills as you grow in confidence.

You will gain an understanding of music performance and production as a collaborative activity so you are prepared for the reality of the sector, progression and paths available to them.

You will be introduced to computer based composition, recording and mixing sound using specialist software. You will develop your own musical style and understanding of the music industry, becoming familiar with specialist software in a professional environment.

What will I learn?

Studying A Level Law at South Devon College helped me decide what I wanted to do as a career, and therefore what I wanted to study at university. We benefited hugely from termly trips, and we even shadowed a judge, which gave me a huge insight into what my future career could entail. My teacher, Kay Harding, is excellent, and went above and beyond in helping me revise, improve exam technique and keep me up to date on current legal affairs. She was also great at giving me advice even outside of College time.Callum Priestley
